My Rooster Is Becoming A Much Sought-After Chicken

When I first started this blog about raising chickens and sharing my trials and entertainment, I had no idea it was going to become so popular. Well let me correct that statement–the blog is not so popular but my main rooster is.  When I first learned of his popularity was when I ran a search on Google for the term rooster and his picture came up. It seems my very first blog I used a picture that many people like.

I have gotten requests to use his picture for an elementary class project, a photo collage someone was working on, and most recently a painting. The painting request from last week will be a barn scene and the rooster will be incorporated into the scene.

Today I received an email from someone who had downloaded the photo last fall and painted the picture as taken.

I am honored that Linda would choose my rooster in the first place but this tribute to his beauty is outstanding. Thank you, Linda, for emailing me a photo of your finished painting.

Maybe one day he will be on the cover of Backyard Poultry! Now wouldn’t that be something.
