In Search of a Specific Breed–Blue Orpingtons

I have over 100 visitors a day to my blog so I am going to start with you, the visitor, reader, or subscriber, and see if anyone has what I am in search of. I want some Blue Orpington chicks. I am searching the internet but as yet have not found any. Do you know of a source or perhaps you have some? Fertilized eggs would be okay too but I have not had much success hatching as yet so prefer hatched chicks already.

I am leaving tomorrow on my yearly trip to KY for the holiday but will be back within a week. If you know of a source, leave me a comment or email me.

Sandhill Preservation will have Blue Orpingtons next Spring but you better put in your order now, they sell out fast!

I have blue/black/splash orpington eggs that I sell and ship. I am having excellent hatch rates here on the farm and from shipped eggs. I have a splash roo over blue and black hens and this produces only blue and splash chicks.

Jackie, sorry but I don’t raise Blue Orpingtons only White Orps. At one time I considered it but only have room for so many chickens so decided to grow the breeds I presently have. You can learn more about the hatching eggs I sell by visiting the Hatching Eggs page.

Backyard chicken has several breeders of Blue Orps and some do sell chicks… if you’re still interested I’d suggest you check out that site.
