Visit the Hatching Eggs for Sale page, to view the up and coming purebred flock I have, as well as, the green eggs that are currently selling and available. I have hatched these myself and you can view the results on the EasterEgger page built to promote this flock.
It wasn’t too long ago I read on a forum that if you wanted to really make money with chickens you should get into selling purebred hatching eggs. I think that was about three months ago and since then I have been busy deciding, ordering, and buying purebred stock in the breed of my choice.
What breed did I choose? I love Brahmas so am on a mission to offer every variety of this breed in the standard size. I currently have Light and Dark Brahmas but am on the hunt for Buff’s and have located hatching eggs. If you have never owned Brahmas you are missing a treat.

These chickens have the best personality and are beautiful.
Another breed of choice is the Orpingtons. Everybody loves Orpingtons because of their sweet disposition and excellent egg laying habits. I current have Buff Orpingtons that just started laying so I should have hatching eggs available in the very near future. And I just acquired White Orpingtons.

They have a few more months to go before they will be laying but they are beautiful.
I have slowly been selling off or giving away my farm yard stock. With all these purebreds moving in I have to empty out some pens. I am keeping one pen of barnyard chickens for the dependable egg laying. Everybody needs a good egg laying hen to help put food on the table.
And just today, I found Partridge Cochins at point-of-lay. These birds are currently owned by the person I bought the Dark Brahmas from but after today I hope they find a new home in my chicken pens.
Am I obsessed? I think so. I had a young lady come out the other day and buy my extra Buff Orpington cockerel and she was about 15 years younger than me. She had that same crazed look that I am sure I wear when talking about chickens. And now she is in search of Blue Orpingtons and as soon as the White Orpingtons start laying she wants some hatching eggs.
Another reader of this blog came and bought some young chickens after moving to the area. And she didn’t come just once, she was back again for egg layers. Shannon is new to raising chickens but she better beware because the bug has bitten her. She told me she is going to have to get a job to pay for building a larger chicken coop. I know the feeling.
If you as the reader don’t already know it, when you start raising chickens you will find a community of chicken lovers that enjoy spending time with others of like interest and talk about chickens. It’s kind of like therapy. Once you find someone who understands and knows just what you are talking about, the bond is built.
Once bitten by the bug, the love of raising chickens is never-ending. And if the bug has bitten you and you are in search of hatching eggs, take a look at what I have for sale. Maybe they will suit your needs or wants (do we really need hatching eggs?).

I ordered buff brahma’s with my Ideal order this past spring and they sent me buff rocks instead. I am still waiting for these girls (my first) to lay. I would love to add to our flock but I am instant gratification girl and rather buy a 5 month old hen. Mostly because the chick raising experience was awesome but the last time I tried to add a younger chick to my flock they were never accepted. I have to go big
As for the bug, I have been limited by my husband lol. I will remain dangerously close to that limit at all times!

I understand what you are stating. One minute I think why baby chicks and then the next minutes I think well it’s only five months until they lay. Sometimes those five months can be agonizing but as you get older the time flies quicker.

I think that partridge ANYTHING would be awesome! I just love the mix of colors. I would be interested in the light brahma hens as well. we can’t have too many though-I will have to wait a year or so.
